Counselling

Service Description

Counselling is a place of warmth and understanding where you can explore your thoughts and feelings. You can talk freely and confidentially without being judged, and you will sense that you are being listened to and really ‘heard’. I qualified as a humanistic counsellor because I liked the fundamental qualities of empathy and humanity. Humanistic counselling believes that you, the client, hold the ultimate wisdom. It puts you in control while my job is to support you as you navigate your world. My clients have included people of all ages, nationalities, and cultures, and together we have worked on issues such as depression, anxiety, bereavement and grief, terminal illness, attachment styles, relationship difficulties, coercive relationships, lifestyle choices, low self-esteem, family issues, ADHD and neurodivergence, as well many other scenarios that fall into the category of life’s emotional challenges.

Cancellation Policy

I will always ask for the full fee to be paid ahead of the session. Please try to join on time. If you are delayed, I will wait for 15 minutes, but if you haven’t joined by then, I’ll assume that it is a cancellation without notice. If we have an issue with technology, I’ll attempt to use another way of contacting you. Should you miss the session without letting me know, or because of technology issues with your phone, laptop etc, then the fee for the session will be payable. Cancellations more than 48 hours in advance are not chargeable. However, within 48 hours of the session, the full payment will be due, as I have reserved that time for you. If there is a genuine emergency within that time, we can always discuss the matter and see if a waiver is appropriate. If I have to cancel a session, I will aim to notify you as soon as possible. You will not be charged, and I will refund you if you have paid for the session. We’ll work to reschedule as soon as possible. If you have questions about this policy, please visit my contact page and send me a message
